Anything Goes - #700-701

Welcome back for yet another FUN and FABULOUS challenge here at Word Art Wednesday.  This is, in our humble opinion, the best challenge blog of all.  And for this particular challenge, we have TWO amazing sponsors.  That means you have even more chances of winning; so we hope that you'll be sure to share all your art with us during the next two weeks.  This will increase your odds of winning.  We also hope that our brief devotional (below) will be a blessing and an encouragement to you.  Thanks so much for stopping by to join in on all the fun.  We're SO glad you're here.

Our scripture of focus in this beautiful word art is 150:6 and it says, "Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD.  Praise ye the Lord".  I don't think I really even need to explain this particular verse.  It says exactly what it means.  Each of us needs to remember that we serve a mighty, a perfect, an all-knowing God who knows everything about us and loves us unconditionally.  We often forget to give Him all the praise that he deserves.  Let's all do our very best to make an effort to give God praise every single day and in every single situation.  In good times and in bad, just PRAISE GOD and let Him know how much you love and appreciate Him.  He is nothing short of amazing, and we should give Him the utmost respect and let Him know all the time that He is worthy of praise and that we WILL acknowledge Him the way He deserves to be honored and praised.

As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computer; but you are never required to use it in order to play along or to win in our challenges.  We welcome you to share all of your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family friendly.  This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge.  Any entries over that limit will be deleted and will make you ineligible to win.  The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and an encouragement to you as we share it.  If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules found under our Page tab marked "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines.   Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone.  We're not.  We are simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules.  Please let us know if you have any questions about anything; and thank you for your understanding and participation.

Anything Goes - Weeks #698-699

Welcome back to Word Art Wednesday, everyone.  Thanks for being here with us for another FUN challenge.  It's always best when YOU are here to join us.  The more, the merrier.   And....we really love seeing all the amazing cards and projects that all the talented artists out there are making.  I get so much inspiration from all of you.  Thanks for being here.  We appreciated you and we really hope that our challenges are a blessing to you.  Here's a brief devotional to encourage you.  Thanks again for joining us.

Our word art scripture for this challenge is Luke 1:45 and it says, "And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord".  In this beautiful passage, we hear the story of how the angel, Gabriel, appeared to a very young woman (Mary) and told her of the things to come.  We see in this verse (verse 45) that Mary responded to the astonishing news with great faith.  Because Mary had a close relationship with God, she responded gladly in agreement.  There's no doubt she was scared, confused and that she was uncertain about the things to come.  Nonetheless, her faith in God remained strong, and she trusted His plan because she knew it was all about bring glory to Him.  She was honored to have been chosen to be used for God's glory in such a special way.  The truth is....we are all a bit like Mary in the sense that God speaks to each of us as well.  We aren't being called to do anything quite as historic as what Mary was called to do, but we're each called to do something important.  When we are living our lives for God and seeking His will, we will know when God is speaking to us.  We will also have the ability to respond in faith to God's calling - the way Mary did.  By studying God's Word and hiding it in your heart, surrounding yourself with things that please God and removing things that hinder your relationship with Him; we become ready and able to accept the challenges that come our way.  We can know, as Mary did, that God will always give us everything we need to get through each hurdle we face.  Nothing is too big for Him, and He will always be with us.  Keep seeking Him, friends.  We can have the kind of deep faith that Mary and Elizabeth had, and God will speak to us when we're ready to hear Him.  You can read more about this passage by reading This Note if you're looking for more context on Mary's response.

Anything Goes - Weeks #696-697

It's time for our next challenge, and we couldn't be happier to have you join in on all the FUN.  Our last challenge had a fabulous response, and we now have another lucky winner.  It could be YOU this time!  Just share your cards in our gallery.  The more you play along, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It makes us SO happy seeing all your amazing cards and creations linked up to our challenges.  We truly hope that our challenges, devotionals and fellowship are all a great blessing to you.  We appreciate you more than we can ever adequately express.  Thanks for being here.

Our scripture of focus in our beautiful word art for this challenge is 146:5 and it says, "Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God".  This psalm is very straight-forward and reminds us that when we follow "the God of Jacob" which is Jesus Christ; the ONE and only true God, we WILL be happy.  So many times, people wonder why life gets so difficult.  Most of the time, it's because either we don't know God at all, or because we have moved away from Him.  By placing our lives in the hands of "the God of Jacob" (Jesus Christ, God in human flesh and the ONLY true God that has the power to change our circumstances), we are assured that God will bring us happiness.  It doesn't mean that we'll never struggle again, but it does promise us that we will find true happiness.  God loves you and cares about you.  However, it's up to each and every one of us to CHOOSE God and to ASK Him into our lives.  Is your hope in the Lord?  Are you truly happy?  Talk to God today and tell Him that you want to know Him and to experience the happiness that only He can provide.

Anything Goes - Weeks #694-695

Hello, creative friends!  We're so glad you've chosen to join us for another awesome challenge.  It's always more fun when you're able to play along, and we appreciate you and the art you share with us.  There's lots of FUN waiting for you again in this challenge including a brief devotional of absolute truth to encourage you, some great inspiration, an amazing sponsor and lots of happiness here to surround you.  We truly appreciate you and we're so glad you're here.  Let's get started with this new challenge.

The beautiful word art for this challenge was created using the verse John 1:29 and it says, "The next day John seeth Jesus coming until him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world".  As we know, John was one of the 12 Disciples.  When he saw Jesus, he spoke these words to remind us that Jesus came to sacrifice Himself to pay the sin debt that EVERY human owes.  Every person ever born has a sinful nature.  There are absolutely NO exceptions to this fact.  Yes, even the Pope, even Pastors/Priests, even Joseph Smith, even Muhammad, etc.  It means EVERY person ever born enters the world with a sinful nature and has a sin debt that must be satisfied in order to enter Heaven and not be separated from Him for eternity.  It doesn't matter what religion you are, and it doesn't actually even matter if you choose to believe it or not.  It's a simple fact of what's known as absolute truth.  We're sinful.  God knew this because He created us and He knows everything about us (all humans).  Jesus, God in human flesh, was the ONLY One who, being perfect, could satisfy the debt that needed to be paid to make a way for mankind to get to Him.  It's not some great mystery.  It's very simple.  God became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:1-2).  He gave Himself willingly on the Cross of Calvary so that we could spend eternity with Him.  All we have to do is to simply ACCEPT THIS GIFT, confess Him as God, and call on Him to save us from our sinful condition.  Do you truly know the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world?  He wants to know you personally.  Call on Him today while you are able.  Our eternal destiny is at stake, and eternity is a VERY long time to be wrong.  Just be very sure of what WILL happen when you leave this world.  God loves you SO much and wants you to accept His precious gift.  Don't rely on your religion, on your good works, or on any other way to get to Heaven.  Jesus is the ONLY WAY.
