Anything Goes - Weeks #696-697

It's time for our next challenge, and we couldn't be happier to have you join in on all the FUN.  Our last challenge had a fabulous response, and we now have another lucky winner.  It could be YOU this time!  Just share your cards in our gallery.  The more you play along, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It makes us SO happy seeing all your amazing cards and creations linked up to our challenges.  We truly hope that our challenges, devotionals and fellowship are all a great blessing to you.  We appreciate you more than we can ever adequately express.  Thanks for being here.

Our scripture of focus in our beautiful word art for this challenge is 146:5 and it says, "Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God".  This psalm is very straight-forward and reminds us that when we follow "the God of Jacob" which is Jesus Christ; the ONE and only true God, we WILL be happy.  So many times, people wonder why life gets so difficult.  Most of the time, it's because either we don't know God at all, or because we have moved away from Him.  By placing our lives in the hands of "the God of Jacob" (Jesus Christ, God in human flesh and the ONLY true God that has the power to change our circumstances), we are assured that God will bring us happiness.  It doesn't mean that we'll never struggle again, but it does promise us that we will find true happiness.  God loves you and cares about you.  However, it's up to each and every one of us to CHOOSE God and to ASK Him into our lives.  Is your hope in the Lord?  Are you truly happy?  Talk to God today and tell Him that you want to know Him and to experience the happiness that only He can provide.

As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computer; but you are never required to use it in order to play along or to win in our challenges.  We welcome you to share all of your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family friendly.  This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge.  Any entries over that limit will be deleted and will make you ineligible to win.  The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and an encouragement to you as we share it.  If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules found under our Page tab marked "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines.   Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone.  We're not.  We are simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules.  Please let us know if you have any questions about anything; and thank you for your understanding and participation.

Anything Goes - Weeks #694-695

Hello, creative friends!  We're so glad you've chosen to join us for another awesome challenge.  It's always more fun when you're able to play along, and we appreciate you and the art you share with us.  There's lots of FUN waiting for you again in this challenge including a brief devotional of absolute truth to encourage you, some great inspiration, an amazing sponsor and lots of happiness here to surround you.  We truly appreciate you and we're so glad you're here.  Let's get started with this new challenge.

The beautiful word art for this challenge was created using the verse John 1:29 and it says, "The next day John seeth Jesus coming until him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world".  As we know, John was one of the 12 Disciples.  When he saw Jesus, he spoke these words to remind us that Jesus came to sacrifice Himself to pay the sin debt that EVERY human owes.  Every person ever born has a sinful nature.  There are absolutely NO exceptions to this fact.  Yes, even the Pope, even Pastors/Priests, even Joseph Smith, even Muhammad, etc.  It means EVERY person ever born enters the world with a sinful nature and has a sin debt that must be satisfied in order to enter Heaven and not be separated from Him for eternity.  It doesn't matter what religion you are, and it doesn't actually even matter if you choose to believe it or not.  It's a simple fact of what's known as absolute truth.  We're sinful.  God knew this because He created us and He knows everything about us (all humans).  Jesus, God in human flesh, was the ONLY One who, being perfect, could satisfy the debt that needed to be paid to make a way for mankind to get to Him.  It's not some great mystery.  It's very simple.  God became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:1-2).  He gave Himself willingly on the Cross of Calvary so that we could spend eternity with Him.  All we have to do is to simply ACCEPT THIS GIFT, confess Him as God, and call on Him to save us from our sinful condition.  Do you truly know the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world?  He wants to know you personally.  Call on Him today while you are able.  Our eternal destiny is at stake, and eternity is a VERY long time to be wrong.  Just be very sure of what WILL happen when you leave this world.  God loves you SO much and wants you to accept His precious gift.  Don't rely on your religion, on your good works, or on any other way to get to Heaven.  Jesus is the ONLY WAY.

Anything Goes - Weeks #692-693

Welcome back to Word Art Wednesday, everyone.  We're so glad you're here.  Whether you've been playing along with us for years, or if you're brand new to our challenge; we welcome you warmly.  We want everyone to know that YOU MATTER TO US, and we care about you.  We're happy to pray for you if you have a prayer request.  Secondary to our love for the Lord and our desire to help everyone draw closer to Him, we love seeing the amazing art you share with us.  WOW!  You're all so talented, and it's a blessing to see all the wonderful cards and projects you create to share in our challenges.  Thanks for being here.  We appreciate you.

Our scripture verse of focus for this challenge is Psalm 147:11 and it says, "The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear Him, in those that hope in His mercy".  This is very straight-forward in its meaning.  To "fear" God means to KNOW Him, to RESPECT Him and to fully ACKNOWLEDGE Him as the Creator, Author, and Ruler of all things.  Realizing that God alone has complete authority over everything, and by submitting our lives fully to Him and His will for us, these things are known as "living in the fear" of the Lord.  It's not an intimidation tactic, and God doesn't want us to run and hide from Him in fear.  To fear the Lord is more about respect and acknowledgement.  When we truly know God, we will automatically have a level of fear and respect for who He is.  He is EVERYTHING.  Those who place their eternal hope in what Jesus has done for us on the cross are "placing their hope in His mercy".  When we know Him, we respect Him.  When we fear Him, we respect Him.  When we accept His precious eternal gift, we will begin to "fear" Him.  These are all things that not only bless us; but they bring joy to God.  I want to bring Him joy.  He's done SO MUCH for me.  So, by acknowledging Him for Who He IS....we bring Him pleasure.  What a joy to know that He can be blessed by me.  I know that He sure has blessed my life and brought me pleasure.  How about you?
